growing place - wall hanging
Beneath the surface of our skin is an intricate system, and beneath the soil are similar intricacies. Growing Place was inspired by a poem of the same name by Lauren Kathleen, about wanting to branch out from one’s childhood home and discover more. Just as a plant may be contained to its pot, in our youth we may feel similarly contained in our ‘growing place’ until it’s time to reach for something bigger.
Hand-printed from an original woodblock carving on 100% cotton calico. Edges are hemmed and finished with a wooden dowel on the top and bottom and cord for hanging.
This is print 1 of a limited edition of 20 prints. Each print is numbered and signed.
Measurements: 56 x 80cm
Care: As this is printed on fabric, it can wrinkle. It can be ironed on the reverse side or with an ironing cloth, but DO NOT WASH. This ink is not washable and will run.
