eyeris - wall hanging
eyeris - wall hanging
Two irises brought together - one found in nature and one found within the vessel of our own bodies. Though you may not find an eye in a garden iris, this piece represents a thing which cannot be seen. The window to the soul of a person can be easily found, but the window to the soul of the iris, or any flower, can still as easily be found if you take a moment to find it, and a moment to feel it.
Hand-printed from an original woodblock carving on 100% cotton calico. Edges are hemmed and finished with a wooden dowel on the top and bottom and cord for hanging.
This is print 1 of a limited edition of 20 prints. Each print is numbered and signed.
Measurements: 56 x 80cm
Care: As this is printed on fabric, it can wrinkle. It can be ironed on the reverse side or with an ironing cloth, but DO NOT WASH. This ink is not washable and will run.
